Experience

Joshua started gaining counseling experience at an early age. While on staff at a local church and taking ministry classes, he learned how to care for those who are hurting. Now, as a Richmont Graduate student and intern, he has gained the skills to establish a space for all clients. In this secure environment, clients are free to explore their thoughts, emotions, history, hurts, and joys. He believes that together, we can work towards healing.

Joshua knows that nothing is perfect, but that's okay. He uses helpful tools to unpack and discover hidden patterns and themes. Sometimes we do things and we don't know why. While things may not always go how we want, there are things we can focus on and change.

Hands in the Soil

Joshua offers counseling from a faith-informed perspective, honoring each client’s  preferences regarding spiritual integration. He creates space for clients to decide how,  and if, they’d like to incorporate their faith into the counseling process. For those seeking  Christian counseling, Joshua is a dedicated follower of Jesus who aims to express Christ's love through empathy and understanding. He blends research-based solutions with core biblical principles, creating a supportive environment for spiritual growth that honors individual beliefs. Joshua values every person's dignity, believing everyone deserves love and connection. He is committed to meeting clients where they are, providing support and guidance with genuine compassion.

Faith-Based Values

Personal

Joshua can be found spending time with his wife and goldendoodle. To rest, he enjoys playing cooperative video games and snacking on a yummy cookie. He is also known to crack dad-jokes despite only having a fur-baby.
