Faith Based Christian Counseling for those interested
For over a decade, Christina has been using her wisdom, instincts, and empathy to help folks gain relational healing, individual empowerment, and deeper intimacy. She provides psychotherapy to individuals and couples with a specialized certification in the Gottman Method and training in several additional therapeutic interventions as well. With unconditional love and regard, she is honored to walk alongside her clients on their path toward healing.
Christina's deep passion lies in the power of relationships and she is strongly committed to the progress and change that can be experienced in couples counseling. By believing in the immense capacity within each individual, she seeks to provide a safe and empowering space for couples that is grounded in love and truth. She is deeply focused on her own growth and continues to hone her craft by participating in ongoing training and education in the latest evidenced based research and intervention methods.
Alignment and trust within the therapeutic relationship is the most critical factor for client success and this evidenced based framework is what guides Christina's work. Maverick Marriage Therapy is an inclusive environment for people of all beliefs and backgrounds. ALL are welcome in her practice. Her values are non-denominational Christian based, while her over-arching goals are to be supportive and responsive to the specific needs and experiences of each of her clients.
Christina practices counseling from a faith based and biblical approach to the degree that each client determines. Meaning, we support our clients to choose the level at which their sessions include spiritual matters for their own personal growth and faith views without imposing our own specific spiritual views. We offer Christian counseling for couples, families, and individuals through the utilization of a biblical approach to interpreting, understanding, and addressing challenges that life brings. Our mission in the Christian counseling approach, should a client choose, is to be loving, compassionate, and honest, like Christ, while also supporting clients’ relationship with God. We believe in the research and wisdom psychological and social studies have to offer while also measuring it all against the wisdom within scripture.
Faith-Based Values
Christina is originally from Chicago, Illinois and recently relocated to the Marietta area a few years ago. When she's not serving clients, she can be found enjoying time with her husband and children, hiking, reading, eating tacos, and serving at her local church.
