Carrie Joy Osborne

Carrie Joy came to the counseling profession after over a decade as a business owner and creative professional in the wedding industry. For 15 years, she worked as a wedding photographer, walking closely with couples through one of the most meaningful and emotionally significant seasons of their lives. This experience gave her a unique lens into relationship dynamics, communication patterns, family systems, and the beauty and complexity of commitment.

Carrie Joy is passionate about working with couples and women navigating the many transitions of life. With couples, Carrie Joy enjoys helping partners slow down, better understand one another, and build deeper emotional connection. She works to identify unhelpful patterns, increase empathy, and create new pathways for communication, trust, and intimacy. After her time in the wedding industry, she is also passionate about premarital counseling, believing in the power of building a marriage from a strong foundation. She also has a particular heart for supporting women in seasons of motherhood, including those experiencing postpartum depression, birth trauma, and identity shifts.

Experience

Prior to her work in counseling, Carrie Joy spent 12 years as a business owner and 15 years in the wedding industry as a photographer. Through this work, she developed a deep appreciation for the relational, emotional, and interpersonal aspects of couples’ lives, often supporting clients through both joyful and stressful seasons.

In addition to her professional experience, Carrie Joy has served as a small group leader and a member of the pastoral care team at her church. In these roles, she has walked alongside individuals and couples through seasons of grief, transition, and growth, offering presence, care, and encouragement.

Her combined experience in business, ministry, and the wedding industry allows her to bring both relational insight and practical understanding into the counseling room.

Carrie Joy believes that healing and growth happen in the context of safe, attuned relationships. Her approach to counseling is warm, compassionate, and grounded in curiosity. She values creating a space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported as they explore their stories and move toward greater connection and wholeness.

She is especially passionate about helping clients navigate life transitions, process difficult experiences, and build stronger, more meaningful relationships—with themselves and with others.

Hands in the Soil

Carrie Joy supports clients in choosing how much they wish to incorporate faith into their personal growth and healing, without imposing specific spiritual beliefs. For those who choose Christian counseling, Carrie Joy uses biblical principles to help individuals, couples, and families address life’s challenges. Her mission is to reflect Christ’s love, compassion, and honesty while supporting clients in their relationship with God. She values both psychological research and the timeless wisdom of scripture in guiding the healing process.
